If a submitted manuscript is deemed unsuitable for publication in the author’s initially selected journal, Bentham Open Science’s editorial team may assist by offering to transfer the submission to a more appropriate journal within the Bentham portfolio, using our Manuscript Transfer Facility.

Transfer of Submission

Transfer of submission with Bentham’s Manuscript Transfer Facility is very simple.

Step 1.

The author receives the transfer proposal by email. The transfer process is initiated by an affirmative response from the author to our transfer proposal.

Step 2.

The manuscript is transferred to a suitable journal, where it undergoes initial editorial review.

Step 3.

The author then receives an editorial decision from the new journal.

Selection of Another Journal

Authors are under no obligation to accept the transfer offer. They may choose to submit their manuscript to another journal independently if they prefer not to proceed with the proposed transfer.
